73,305 Martyrs and 173,918 Injured in the Gaza Strip Since the Start of the Aggression; 12 Martyrs and 12 Injured over the Past 24 Hours
GAZA, July 22, 2026 — Medical sources in the Gaza Strip announced on Wednesday that the toll from the ongoing Israeli occupation aggression on the Strip has risen to 73,305 martyrs and 173,918 injured since October 7, 2023.
The sources added that hospitals in the Strip received 12 martyrs over the past 24 hours—including one who succumbed to previously sustained injuries—and 12 injured persons.
The same sources noted that the total number of martyrs since the ceasefire took effect on October 11 of last year has risen to 1,180, with injuries reaching 3,810, while 802 bodies have been recovered.
They clarified that a number of victims remain trapped under the rubble and on the roads, as ambulance and rescue crews are still unable to reach them
