"Gaza death toll rises to 73,462, with 174,509 injured since the beginning of the Israeli aggression."

Gaza, Sept. 1, 2026 – Medical sources in the Gaza Strip announced on Tuesday that the death toll from the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Strip has risen to 73,462 dead and 174,509 injured since the outbreak of the aggression on October 7, 2023.

The sources indicated that hospitals in the Strip received 6 dead and 13 injured over the past 24 hours.

They further detailed that the total number of fatalities since the ceasefire took effect on October 11 last year has increased to 1,326 dead and 4,398 injured, in addition to the recovery of 815 bodies.

The sources also noted the death of a citizen due to a building collapse, raising the number of casualties resulting from building collapses to 34.

They pointed out that a number of victims remain under the rubble and on the streets, as ambulance and rescue crews are still unable to reach them and recover their bodies.
