Medical sources reported that hospitals in the Gaza Strip received over the past 24 hours two martyrs (one of whom succumbed to his wounds) and 35 injuries.
The sources explained that the death toll since the ceasefire on October 11, 2025, has reached 1,462, while the number of injuries has reached 5,151, in addition to the recovery of the bodies of 836 martyrs.

GAZA, October 4, 2026 — The death toll since the beginning of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip has risen to 74,237, while the total number of injuries has reached 175,206.
Medical sources reported that hospitals in the Gaza Strip received 9 martyrs over the past 24 hours (including 6 newly martyred individuals, 3 who succumbed to their wounds, and 1 whose body was recovered), alongside 18 injuries.
The sources explained that the death toll since the ceasefire on October 11, 2025, has reached 1,454, while the number of injuries stands at 5,090, in addition to the recovery of the bodies of 835 martyrs.
The same sources noted that 181 martyrs were added to the cumulative death toll statistics after completing their data and receiving official endorsement from the Martyrs' Accreditation Committee, following the last statistical update on September 26, 2026.

On World Teachers' Day: More than 800 teachers have been martyred since October 7, 2023

RAMALLAH, October 4, 2026 (WAFA) — The Ministry of Education and Higher Education stated that since the beginning of the war of genocide on October 7, 2023, more than 800 male and female teachers have been martyred, over 3,300 others have been injured with varying degrees of wounds, and more than 170 teachers have been detained under harsh conditions.
In a statement issued today, Sunday, to mark World Teachers' Day, the Ministry added that this year's global occasion is held under the slogan: "Supporting Teachers: 60 Years of Protecting the Profession, Improving Conditions, and Shaping Our Future." This carries a historical symbolism that embodies sixty years of human struggle to protect the teaching profession and advance the status of its educators.
The statement continued: "While the world evokes this slogan to address the challenges and strategies necessary to elevate the educational mission, the Palestinian teacher stands at the heart of the field. They embody the finest examples of steadfastness and loyalty to their mission, fighting a genuine battle for survival to protect the right to education under the most brutal conditions of aggression and systematic targeting."
The Ministry highlighted that the suffering of teachers intensifies daily due to on-the-ground harassment and growing restrictions on freedom of movement across hundreds of military checkpoints. This is particularly severe in Masafer Yatta, Al-Mughayyir, the Jordan Valley, and Area C. This is further compounded by the occupation's continued withholding of Palestinian tax revenues (clearance funds), resulting in severe living and economic crises that directly and painfully affect the financial and psychological stability of the educational community.
Expressing deep pride in the pioneering role played by teachers across the homeland, the Ministry stated: "This is an occasion to extend gratitude and appreciation to our male and female teachers. We honor the teachers of Gaza, who were not deterred by rubble, bombardment, or displacement camps from performing their duty. They successfully transformed tents and displacement centers into classrooms pulsing with life. We also honor their colleagues in the virtual schools in the West Bank who skillfully continued their journey to ensure the continuity of education for our students in Gaza, as well as the teachers of Jerusalem who remain steadfast in their schools despite racist occupation policies."
The statement emphasized that this resilience has yielded inspiring success stories, transforming challenges into opportunities for renewal and creativity. The Palestinian teacher has proven to be a true community leader by innovating educational initiatives, technological solutions, and alternative teaching methods from within the heart of the blockade. This sends a clear message from Palestine to the entire world: the will to learn and teach is far stronger and more enduring than the machinery of war and destruction.
The Ministry of Education and Higher Education demanded that the international community, the United Nations, and educational, human rights, and humanitarian organizations—led by UNESCO and UNICEF—take urgent action to curb the ongoing occupation violations against the educational sector and work immediately to provide international protection for educational staff and students.
Furthermore, the Ministry called upon all educational federations, unions, and free people of the world to intensify their advocacy and defense of the rights of Palestinian teachers. It urged them to exert pressure for the release of detained teachers and the immediate release of withheld financial revenues, ensuring the teacher's right to live in dignity and safely fulfill their noble mission.

On World Habitat Day: The occupation has destroyed 82% of all buildings in the Gaza Strip

- 90% of the water and sanitation infrastructure in the Gaza Strip is damaged or destroyed

RAMALLAH — The Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS) announced that the number of buildings damaged due to the ongoing Israeli occupation aggression on the Gaza Strip from October 7, 2023, until June 16, 2026, reached approximately 201,290 buildings. This represents an estimated 82% of all buildings in the Strip. Among these, 134,422 buildings were completely destroyed, 13,848 buildings were severely damaged, and the number of damaged housing units reached about 328,627.
This documentation was released in a statement issued by the PCBS today, Monday, to mark World Habitat Day—established by the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat)—as well as Arab Housing Day, designated by the Council of Arab Ministers of Housing and Reconstruction.
World Habitat Day 2026 is held under the slogan "Adequate Housing for All" amid an escalating global housing crisis. UN-Habitat indicates that approximately 2.8 billion people worldwide face various forms of inadequate housing, including 1.1 billion people living in slums and informal settlements.
In the Palestinian context, this day holds exceptional significance. The Palestinian people face widespread destruction of homes and infrastructure in the Gaza Strip, continuous displacement, forced evictions, and house demolitions in the West Bank, including Jerusalem. This is coupled with economic, social, and environmental challenges that severely limit families' access to adequate housing and basic services.
In the West Bank, northern governorates have suffered extensive destruction. In the Jenin camp, the total number of damaged buildings reached 680, representing about 53% of its total buildings. Meanwhile, damaged buildings in the Noor Shams camp reached 434 (55% of total buildings), and 407 buildings were damaged in the Tulkarm camp (about 37% of total buildings), according to data extending up to February 2026.

Escalation of Forced Displacement and Targeting Palestinian Presence in the West Bank and Jerusalem

The housing crisis and destruction are not confined to the Gaza Strip. Throughout 2026, forced displacement, land confiscation, and the targeting of Palestinian homes and facilities continued across the West Bank, including the Jerusalem Governorate.
According to data from the Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission, Israeli occupation authorities carried out approximately 341 demolitions during the first half of 2026. This resulted in the destruction of 740 Palestinian structures (including inhabited and uninhabited homes, livelihoods, agricultural facilities, and others). Furthermore, 254 demolition notices were issued under the pretext of lacking permits, concentrated primarily in the governorates of Hebron (102 notices), Bethlehem (70 notices), and Jerusalem (34 notices).
Demolitions were accompanied by a sharp increase in settler attacks, totaling 3,488 assaults during the first half of 2026, targeting Palestinian communities, property, lands, and livelihoods. The total number of Palestinians displaced in the West Bank due to demolitions, evictions, settler attacks, and related restrictions exceeded 4,000 individuals between the start of 2026 and September 2026, according to reports by the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA). These developments reflect the widening scope of pressure imposed on Palestinian communities, undermining housing stability, the ability to remain on their lands, and access to basic services.

Repeated Displacement and Shrinking Living Space in the Gaza Strip

Since October 7, 2023, large-scale military operations and the destruction of homes and infrastructure have led to repeated, mass displacement of the population in the Gaza Strip. Most of the Strip's 2.1 million residents remain displaced. Due to access restrictions across vast areas, residents are now confined to less than 40% of the Gaza Strip's total area, causing extreme overcrowding and immense pressure on the remaining refuge zones.

3.4% of West Bank Households Live in Overcrowded Conditions

About 3.4% of households in the West Bank reside in high-density housing units (defined as 3 or more people per room). By community type, this rate stands at 3.0% in urban areas, 3.8% in rural areas, and jumps significantly to 8.9% within refugee camps as of 2025.

Changing Housing Trends in the West Bank: Apartments Lead while Non-Traditional Housing Expands in Camps

A notable shift occurred in the distribution of West Bank households by housing type between 2024 and 2025. The percentage of families living in apartments rose from 60.4% in 2024 to 68.6% in 2025. Additionally, families living in housing classified as "other" increased from 0.4% to 1.6% over the same period.
This shift is most pronounced in refugee camps, where households living in "other" types of housing reached 20.1% in 2025, compared to just 1.4% in rural areas and 0.3% in urban areas. This spike is particularly evident in the Tulkarm and Jenin governorates, reflecting the stark changes in housing conditions forced upon families due to demolitions and displacement.

90% of Water and Sanitation Infrastructure in Gaza Damaged or Destroyed: A Deepening Crisis

Data from the first half of 2026 shows that approximately 90% of the water and sanitation infrastructure in the Gaza Strip has been damaged or destroyed. This has severely crippled access to safe and regular water services.
Furthermore, 82% of households suffer from water insecurity. Up to 70% of families in the Gaza Strip are only able to access 6 liters of water per person per day—far below the minimum standard of 15 liters per person per day recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO).

Decline in Issued Building Permits in Q2 2026 Compared to Q1 2026

Reflecting the widespread destruction in Gaza and construction challenges in the West Bank, building permit data illustrates the level of licensed urban activity.
The number of building permits issued in Palestine during the second quarter of 2026 decreased by 1% compared to the first quarter of 2026. A total of 1,814 building permits were issued during Q2 2026, including 1,199 for new buildings. The number of licensed housing units reached 4,105 units, of which 3,554 were new residential units. However, the number of newly licensed housing units marked a 20% increase compared to the second quarter of 2025.

القدس 1-10-2026- رصدت محافظة القدس خلال الربع الثالث من عام 2026، استشهاد ستة مواطنين، واقتحام 27,830 مستعمرا المسجد الأقصى المبارك، وتنفيذ 139 عملية هدم وتجريف، و357 حالة اعتقال، إلى جانب إصدار 73 قرارا بالإبعاد، معظمها عن المسجد الأقصى المبارك.

وأوضحت المحافظة، في تقريرها الربعي الصادر اليوم الخميس،، أن الأشهر الثلاثة شهدت تصعيدًا في الانتهاكات الإسرائيلية بحق مدينة القدس ومحيطها، شمل الاعتداءات على المسجد الأقصى، وحملات الاعتقال والإبعاد، وهدم المنازل والمنشآت وتجريف الأراضي، والاستيلاء على الممتلكات، وتقييد حركة المقدسيين، واستهداف التجمعات البدوية، إلى جانب مواصلة المشاريع الاستعمارية.

6 الشهداء

وخلال الربع الثالث، ارتقى ستة مواطنين من محافظة القدس برصاص قوات الاحتلال الإسرائيلي، وهم: وليد نضال أبو سنينة في مخيم قلنديا، ونصر زعل كعابنة قرب جدار الفصل في بيرنبالا، وخليل رشاد حامد الرشق عند حاجز مخيم شعفاط، وخليل عباس خليل الأعور وأحمد خليل عباس الأعور خلال اقتحام بلدة سلوان، وإبراهيم الهندي قرب باب العامود.

وبذلك ارتفع عدد شهداء محافظة القدس منذ بداية العام إلى 17 شهيدا، حتى 4 أيلول/سبتمبر 2026.

27,830 مستعمر اقتحموا المسجد الأقصى

وشهد المسجد الأقصى المبارك خلال الربع الثالث تصعيدا في الاقتحامات والانتهاكات، إذ بلغ عدد المستعمرين المقتحمين 27,830، إضافة إلى 13,113 شخصًا دخلوا المسجد تحت غطاء ما يسمى "السياحة".

وأشارت المحافظة إلى أن التصعيد لم يقتصر على زيادة أعداد المقتحمين، بل شمل توسيع نطاق الممارسات والطقوس الدينية، بما فيها أداء الصلوات الجماعية، والسجود، والنفخ في "الشوفار"، وإدخال كتب الصلاة والأدوات والقرابين النباتية، بمشاركة وزراء وأعضاء كنيست وحاخامات وقيادات جماعات "الهيكل"، وتحت حماية شرطة الاحتلال.

وكانت أبرز محطات التصعيد خلال ما يسمى "ذكرى خراب الهيكل" في 23 تموز/يوليو، حين اقتحم المسجد 4,248 مستعمرا، بمشاركة الوزير إيتمار بن غفير وعدد من المسؤولين.

كما شهد المسجد خلال ما يسمى "رأس السنة العبرية" و"يوم الغفران" و"عيد العرش" تكرار الصلوات والطقوس العلنية داخل المسجد ومحيطه، بالتزامن مع القيود المفروضة على دخول المصلين المسلمين، وإغلاق بعض الأبواب، وإبعاد المقدسيين، والتضييق على موظفي دائرة الأوقاف.

114 إصابة

ورصدت المحافظة 114 إصابة خلال الربع الثالث، توزعت بين إصابات بالرصاص الحي والمطاطي، واعتداءات بالضرب، وإصابات بالغاز المسيل للدموع، وأخرى نتيجة رش غاز الفلفل من قبل المستعمرين.

وتركزت الإصابات في مخيم قلنديا وبلدتي كفر عقب والرام، إلى جانب حزما وأبو ديس ووادي الجوز وبيت عنان وشعفاط وسلوان والطور وبدو وبير نبالا، إضافة إلى التجمعات البدوية، ولا سيما التبنة والعراعرة.

140 اعتداء نفذه المستعمرون

وسجلت محافظة القدس 140 اعتداءً نفذه المستعمرون خلال الربع الثالث، بينها 15 اعتداء بالإيذاء الجسدي.

وشملت الاعتداءات الاعتداء على المواطنين، ورشق المركبات بالحجارة، ومهاجمة المنازل والممتلكات، والاستيلاء على منازل مقدسيين، والاعتداء على الأراضي الزراعية، وإقامة البؤر الاستعمارية والتوسع فيها، والسيطرة على مصادر المياه، وملاحقة التجمعات البدوية ورعاة الأغنام، والاعتداء على الكنائس والأماكن الدينية المسيحية.

وتركزت الاعتداءات في التجمعات البدوية والأحياء الفلسطينية والبلدة القديمة، وتصاعدت خلال موسم الأعياد العبرية في أيلول/سبتمبر، بالتزامن مع تنفيذ طقوس دينية، وإغلاق طرق، ورفع أعلام الاحتلال.

اعتقال 357 مواطنا

ورصدت المحافظة اعتقال 357 مواطنًا خلال الربع الثالث، بينهم 10 أطفال و8 سيدات، في إطار حملات اعتقال طالت مختلف مناطق محافظة القدس.

وشملت الاعتقالات اقتحام المنازل والأحياء، والتوقيفات الميدانية على الحواجز والطرقات، والمداهمات والاحتجازات، إلى جانب استخدام القوة والاعتداء بالضرب والتخويف.

وتوزعت الاعتقالات على مناطق عدة، أبرزها مخيم قلنديا، وكفر عقب، والرام، وسلوان، والعيسوية، وأبو ديس، وعناتا، وجبل المكبر، وبيت دقو، وقطنة، وبدو، وحزما، وبير نبالا، والبلدة القديمة ومحيط المسجد الأقصى.

وطالت الاعتقالات الأطفال والنساء والمصلين والشخصيات الدينية والصحفيين والكتاب والأسرى المحررين والناشطين والعمال الفلسطينيين.

قرارات المحاكم والحبس

وثقت المحافظة خلال الربع الثالث 71 حكمًا وقرارا بحق الأسرى المقدسيين، بينها 58 قرارا بالاعتقال الإداري، و13 حكمًا بالسجن الفعلي، تراوحت مددها بين شهر ونصف و22 عامًا ونصف العام.

كما أصدرت سلطات الاحتلال 10 قرارات بالحبس المنزلي القسري بحق مواطنين مقدسيين.

وأشارت المحافظة إلى استمرار إصدار المحاكم الإسرائيلية قرارات تتضمن فرض غرامات مالية، والحبس المنزلي، والإبعاد ومنع السفر، إلى جانب تمديد الاعتقال الإداري في بعض الحالات.

73 قرار إبعاد

ورصدت المحافظة إصدار 73 قرارا بالإبعاد خلال الربع الثالث، بينها 63 قرارا عن المسجد الأقصى المبارك، طالت حراسًا وموظفين وخطباء وأسرى محررين وصحفيين ونشطاء وشبانًا.

وتوزعت القرارات بواقع 17 قرارا في تموز/يوليو، و6 في آب/أغسطس، و50 في أيلول/سبتمبر، مع تسجيل التصعيد الأكبر في أيلول، بالتزامن مع موسم الأعياد العبرية.

وتراوحت مدد الإبعاد بين أسابيع وستة أشهر، وشملت في بعض الحالات تحديد مناطق يحظر دخولها داخل المسجد ومحيطه.

كما رصدت المحافظة أربعة قرارات بمنع السفر خلال الربع الثالث، استهدفت شخصيات مقدسية ونشطاء وأسرى محررين.

139 عملية هدم وتجريف

ووثقت المحافظة تنفيذ 139 عملية هدم وتجريف خلال الربع الثالث، بينها 35 عملية هدم ذاتي قسري، أُجبر خلالها مواطنون على هدم منازلهم أو منشآتهم، و96 عملية هدم نفذتها آليات الاحتلال مباشرة، إضافة إلى 8 عمليات تجريف استهدفت أراضي ومنشآت ومرافق فلسطينية.

وشملت عمليات الهدم والتجريف سلوان، وجبل المكبر، وبيت حنينا، وعناتا، والرام، ورافات، وحزما، وجبع، وأم طوبا، وقلنديا، إلى جانب استهداف تجمعات سكانية ومنشآت زراعية وتجارية وحظائر للأغنام وأسوار وطرق وأراضٍ زراعية ومصادر للمياه والطاقة.

150 إخطارا وقرارا بالهدم والإخلاء والاستيلاء على الممتلكات

كما وثقت المحافظة 150 إخطارًا وقرارًا متعلقًا بالهدم والإخلاء والاستيلاء، بينها 140 إخطارًا وقرارًا بالهدم، و3 قرارات بالإخلاء، و7 قرارات بمصادرة الممتلكات والأراضي.

وتوزعت هذه الإجراءات بواقع 27 قرارًا في تموز، و86 في آب، و37 في أيلول، وشملت منازل ومنشآت في كفر عقب وعناتا وسلوان وصور باهر ووادي الحمص.

وتنوعت الإجراءات بين إخطارات بالهدم ووقف البناء، وأوامر إخلاء، ومصادرة أراضٍ وممتلكات لأغراض مختلفة، فيما شهد آب إخطار عشرات العقارات بالهدم، بينها 36 عقارًا في عناتا.

كما شملت الإجراءات الاستيلاء على منزل الأسير الجريح قدري سمارة في بلدة بدو وإخطارًا بهدمه، إلى جانب قرارات أخرى استهدفت منازل ومنشآت مقدسية.

استهداف المؤسسات والمعالم المقدسية

ورصدت المحافظة تصعيدًا في استهداف المؤسسات والمعالم الدينية والتعليمية والوطنية والدولية، إلى جانب التضييق على حرية العبادة والعمل الصحفي واستهداف مؤسسات وكالة غوث وتشغيل اللاجئين الفلسطينيين "الأونروا".

وشملت أبرز الانتهاكات اعتقال مفتي القدس وخطيب المسجد الأقصى الشيخ محمد حسين وإبعاده، واقتحام مدارس فلسطينية وتهديدها بالإغلاق، وتحويل مقار مدنية في قلنديا وأبو ديس إلى مراكز احتجاز وتحقيق، إضافة إلى اقتحام معهد "الأونروا" في كفر عقب والسيطرة عليه، واعتقال عدد من العاملين والصحفيين والنشطاء.

كما طالت الاعتداءات دور العبادة المسيحية والإسلامية، من خلال الاعتداء على الكنائس والأديرة وإغلاق جامع العمري، بالتزامن مع استمرار استهداف المؤسسات التعليمية الفلسطينية وموظفيها واحتجاز موظفين وصحفيين.

الأسرى والمحررون المقدسيون

وشهد الربع الثالث استمرار الانتهاكات بحق الأسرى والمعتقلين والأسرى المحررين المقدسيين، عبر الاعتقال وإعادة الاعتقال والإبعاد عن المسجد الأقصى ومنع السفر وفرض قيود على الحركة.

وخلال تموز وآب وأيلول، أبعدت سلطات الاحتلال عددا من الأسرى المحررين عن المسجد الأقصى لمدة ستة أشهر، بينهم عرين الزعانين ومراد عليان وأيهم جمعة وصالح ماجد أبو الحمص، فيما جددت إبعاد ناصر الهدمي، وأصدرت قرارًا بإبعاد أحمد شويات لمدة أسبوع قابل للتجديد، كما جددت منع مراد عليان من السفر خارج البلاد لمدة ستة أشهر.

وشهد الربع الثالث إعادة اعتقال عدد من الأسرى المحررين، بينهم عرين الزعانين وعبد الله علي داود، فيما أفرج عن جون قاقيش بعد عشرة أيام مع فرض الحبس المنزلي وغرامة مالية ومنعه من التواصل مع عدد من الأشخاص.

كما التحق محمد عمران الشاويش بسجن الرملة لقضاء محكومية مدتها ثمانية أشهر.

وفي السجون، وثقت إفادات الأسرى والأسيرات استمرار سوء التغذية والإهمال الطبي والاعتداءات الجسدية واللفظية، ونقص الملابس ومواد النظافة، والقيود على الاستحمام والفورة، إلى جانب العقوبات الجماعية والتفتيش العاري بحق الأسيرات، واستمرار هذه الانتهاكات بحق الأشبال والأسرى المرضى.

المشاريع الاستعمارية

ووثقت محافظة القدس، استنادا إلى المتابعة اليومية للإعلانات الرسمية الصادرة عن ما تسمى "الإدارة المدنية" وبلدية الاحتلال في القدس، إضافة إلى ما وثقه مركز بيت الشرق، 55 مخططًا ومشروعًا ونشاطًا استعماريًا خلال الربع الثالث.

وشملت هذه الأنشطة المخططات الهيكلية والمشاريع الاستعمارية وإنشاء البؤر الاستعمارية وأعمال شق الطرق والإجراءات المتعلقة بالأراضي.

وبيّنت المعطيات أن من بين هذه الأنشطة 15 مخططا تم إيداعها، تضمنت إنشاء 3,465 وحدة استعمارية سكنية على مساحة إجمالية بلغت 164.917 دونما.

كما صادقت سلطات الاحتلال على 13 مخططًا، تضمنت إنشاء 811 وحدة استعمارية سكنية على مساحة إجمالية بلغت 305.247 دونمًا.

وأوضحت المحافظة أن أعداد الوحدات الواردة في الإحصائية تقتصر على الوحدات الاستعمارية السكنية، ولا تشمل المباني والمنشآت المخصصة للاستعمالات العامة أو التعليمية أو الصحية أو الدينية أو التجارية والخدمية.

وفي السياق ذاته، رصدت المحافظة 10 مناقصات وإعلانات متعلقة بمشاريع استعمارية، شملت مناقصات لبناء وحدات استعمارية سكنية وأخرى لتنفيذ أعمال البنية التحتية والتطوير وشق الطرق.

وبلغ مجموع الوحدات الاستعمارية السكنية التي دخلت مسار المناقصات، بعد استبعاد التداخل في مشروع E1، نحو 5,500 وحدة، منها 1,234 وحدة طرحت ضمن العطاء رقم 186/2026 في آب، و2,167 وحدة ضمن تحديث العطاء رقم 460/2025 في أيلول، بما يستكمل إجمالي 3,401 وحدة المقررة ضمن مشروع E1، دون احتسابها مرتين.

Medical sources reported that hospitals in the Gaza Strip received 9 martyrs over the past 24 hours—including 8 new martyrs and a female martyr who succumbed to her wounds—along with 31 injuries, as a result of the Israeli aggression.
The sources explained that the death toll since the ceasefire on October 11, 2025, has reached 1,431, while the number of injuries reached 5,026, in addition to the recovery of the bodies of 834 martyrs.

Funeral of 51 Martyrs Recovered by Rescue Teams from Under the Rubble in Al-Nuseirat

GAZA, September 29, 2026 – Thousands of citizens took part on Tuesday in the funeral of 51 martyrs whose bodies were recently recovered by rescue teams from under the rubble of destroyed homes in the Al-Nuseirat refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip.
The funeral procession set off from Al-Awda Hospital toward the camp’s cemetery amid an atmosphere of deep sorrow, as mourners carried the bodies wrapped in shrouds and Palestinian flags.
Mohammed Abu Nabhan, 42, told a WAFA correspondent that he was bidding farewell to 13 martyrs from his family, including his mother, his two brothers, their wives, and their children. They were killed in an Israeli airstrike that destroyed the family home on July 29, 2025.
He explained that the family had previously fled the area before returning home. He noted that the occupation forces had besieged the New Camp area at that time and destroyed their home along with others, preventing residents from reaching the victims to recover them.
He added that the family was unable to bury the martyrs at the time due to the dangerous conditions in the area and the lack of necessary equipment for recovery operations.
Areej Farajallah, 36, said she was bidding farewell today to her husband, Samir, who was martyred on November 28, 2024. She mentioned that she only found two bones of his remains, describing it as "better than nothing."
The remains of the martyrs buried today belong to children, women, and men from several families, including Nabhan, Al-Safeen, Al-Thawabta, Al-Tawil, Farajallah, and Hajjaj, who lost their lives in Israeli airstrikes on various parts of the camp.
According to medical sources, rescue teams have recovered 834 martyrs since the ceasefire last October, after documenting their names.
Thousands of bodies remain under the rubble of destroyed homes and facilities across the Gaza Strip due to the difficulty of recovery operations, shortages of equipment and fuel, and rescue teams being blocked from accessing certain areas.
Last month, the Abu Shariah and Al-Hasayna families recovered the remains of 112 martyrs and buried them in a single funeral in Gaza City. Meanwhile, the city's residents are scheduled to bury the bodies of 105 martyrs tomorrow, Wednesday.

The sources indicated that the total number of martyrs since the ceasefire took effect on October 11 has risen to 1,417, and injuries to 4,964, while the total number of recovered bodies reached 834. They noted that a number of victims remain under the rubble and on the streets, as ambulance and rescue crews are unable to reach them.

Gaza, Sept 20, 2026 – Medical sources in the Gaza Strip announced today, Sunday, that the death toll has risen to 73,910 martyrs and 174,935 injuries since the start of the aggression on the Gaza Strip.
The sources added that over the past 24 hours, Gaza Strip hospitals received 3 new martyrs and 21 injuries.
Since the ceasefire on October 11, the total number of martyrs has reached 1,393, with total injuries standing at 4,822, while the total number of bodies recovered from under the rubble reached 831.
Medical sources indicated that a number of victims remain under the rubble and on the roads, as ambulance and rescue crews are still unable to reach them.
